The pathwayProfiler simultaneously addresses over 100 different cellular signaling pathways, which can be divided into six signaling categories: Cellular stress, differentiation, regulation of metabolism, immune response, calcium and cAMP signal transduction, and so-called immediate early genes (IEGs as indicators of important signaling processes regulated immediately after stimulation). Moreover, in a single experiment it is possible to measure diverse conditions such as different concentrations of a specific compound (e.g., new drugs) and its effect at the cellular level at multiple time points. The multiplexed readout is based on Systasy proprietary barcode technology. The measurement of cellular signaling profiles is now also possible in human disease models.
